ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) Closure Device

ASD Closure is a procedure to treat a hole in the wall (septum) between the heart’s two upper chambers (atria), which can lead to abnormal blood flow and heart complications.

Procedure:

  • A catheter is inserted into a vein and guided to the heart.
  • A special closure device is placed over the hole to seal it.
  • Over time, heart tissue grows over the device, permanently closing the defect.

Benefits:

  • Minimally invasive, no open-heart surgery required.
  • Fast recovery, with patients returning to normal activities in a few days.
